South Carolina school shooting: 2 children, 1 teacher wounded, official says

Two children and a teacher were shot by a teenage gunman at an elementary school in Townville, South Carolina, a spokesman for Anderson County Emergency Management told reporters Wednesday afternoon. The two students were sent to a local trauma center, Taylor Jones said. The teacher was also hospitalized. The shooter is in custody. The severity of the injuries is not known.

At least two children were shot Wednesday at an elementary school in Townville, South Carolina, Anderson County EMS Director Scott Stoller told CNN.

"Right now we are still developing information. We are still treating patients. One of the children was life-flighted to Greenville Trauma Center, Stoller said.

The shooter is in custody, according to Sheila Cole, spokeswoman for the Anderson County Sheriff's Office.
