South Shore Line extends free weekday, eastbound rides promotion
The South Shore Line announced that they will be extending their promotion that makes all weekday, eastbound trips free for passengers through December 31.
This promotion was initially set to end on November 1. However, the South Shore Line has decided to extend the promotion through the end of the 2021 year.
South Shore Line says they are continuing to offer these free rides out of appreciation for passengers that have continued to use their transportation services throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Passengers will remain responsible to pay for tickets on the weekends and for all westbound travel.
Any travelers going east on weekdays will be able to simply board the South Shore Line without a voucher or a ticket.
All passengers will be expected to follow the mask requirement in place that is in effect through January 18.
Certain passengers are exempt from the mask mandate, including passengers with health issues and children under the age of 2.
