South Shore Line provides update to Notre Dame’s game at Soldier Field

The South Shore Line will be stopping select trains at Metra’s 18th Street station, to connect passengers to Soldier Field for the Notre Dame vs. Wisconsin game on Sept. 25.

The stop will connect game-goers to a pedestrian walkway that leads them to Soldier Field’s Entrance.

As this is not a regularly scheduled stop, game attendees should purchase tickets for Museum Campus/11th Street.

Westbound Train 502 (departing South Bend at 7:45 am ET), Train 504 (departing South Bend at 9:01 am ET) and Train 606 (departing Carroll Avenue at 9:27 CT) will all be making stops at 18th Street on Sept. 25.

Passengers from South Bend are encouraged to utilize Train 502 and Train 504 for extra capacity.

For a return trip, an extra eastbound train will depart Millennium Station at 3:30 pm – 18th Street at 3:36 pm. These trains will run non-stop to Hegewisch and make all local stops at the South Bend International Airport. This train will not service Van Buren Street or the Museum Campus.

Eastbound Train 507 will depart 18th Street Station at 4:49 pm CT. Eastbound Train 509 will depart the station at 6:28 pm CT.

As a reminder, seating is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Passengers should come early to boarding stations. Masks are also required in all South Shore Line Stations and trains as per the federal mandate until Jan. 18, 2022.
