South Shore Line temporarily busing travelers between stations

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The South Shore Line will be temporarily busing passengers between Carroll Avenue and the South Bend International Airport.

The South Shore Line will be upgrading their track and segments of overhead wire between Michigan City and South Bend.

According to a press release, the temporary busing will occur at various times through the spring and summer, with the next of those periods being scheduled for Monday, June 8th through Friday, June 12th.

During this time, service between Carroll Avenue and South Bend will be canceled, with buses arriving and departing with passengers to match their weekday train schedule between Carroll Avenue and South Bend.

Westbound passengers are encouraged to board at Carroll Avenue Station or other western stations as busing availability at the South Bend Airport will be limited.

Bus service to and from Hudson Lake Station will not be available during this time. Hudson Lake passengers are encouraged to board the the Carroll Avenue Station.

Train service between Michigan City and Chicago is expected to operate as scheduled.
