South Shore to resume regular schedule

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. — The South Shore train will resume all regularly scheduled train service between South Bend and Michigan City Monday morning.

On Thursday, a garbage truck struck and damaged a bridge in Hudson Lake that temporarily affected traffic on the South Shore.

Crews have been working on repairs to restore the train service ahead of schedule.

The South Shore bussed passengers between South Bend and Michigan City while that bridge was being repaired.
