GOSHEN, Ind. -- The Boyd family, owners of South Side Soda Shop in Goshen, announced via social media that they will be closed until further notice due to a fire at the shop early Thursday morning.
The owners said the Goshen Fire Department responded quickly and contained the fire to one of the upstairs apartments.
They add the restaurant is still standing and will reopen in the future.
In the post, they stated in part:
"We are devastated by the timing of this event as we have been gearing up for our Food Network premiere. We love all of our employees and customers so much and will be back to celebrate with you in the future."
