SR5 in LaGrange County has reopened

A two vehicle accident shut down a portion of SR5 in La Grange County and caused power outages Friday afternoon.
The road was closed for most of the day and reopened around 3:15 p.m.
A vehicle was traveling westbound on CR700 South when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign at SR5, according to the La Grange County Sheriff’s Department.
The first vehicle struck a semi and both vehicles left the road. The first vehicle also struck a utility pole, knocking out power to the area.
The semi driver suffered minor injuries.
