St. Joseph businesses hoping for good holiday weekend

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- Memorial Day weekend has arrived and businesses on the bluff in St. Joseph say it is the weekend they've been waiting for. They say it sets the pace for their summer sales and they are banking on this weekend being a good one.

Anthony Dunning, the General Manager for Cafe Tosi, says Memorial weekend is a big deal.

"We probably do 60-percent of our entire business in these next three months so we rely on the tourism to come through town," said Dunning.

The same goes for Kilwins. They're open year around but the next three months are crucial

The businesses say because they are so close to the water they rely heavily on the good weather. They are grateful the weather looks good for this weekend.
