St. Joseph County emergency culvert repairs

According to county officials, St. Joseph County, Indiana has declared two culvert areas “emergency situations.”

The two areas are on Layton Road and Madison Road over Grimes Ditch, both of these are east of State Road 331.  

Officials say the culverts have crumbled along the edge of the pavement.

Right now, the roads are open for traveling, but the damaged areas are marked with traffic cones.

Drivers are being asked to use caution while driving over the culverts.
