St. Joseph County police officer remains hospitalized

ST. JOSEPH CO., Ind. -- A St. Joseph County police officer remains in the hospital after he crashed his squad car.

Officer Chuck Flanagan broke his femur on Sunday afternoon when he crashed his cruiser into a Jeep.

Flanagan was chasing a Ford Mustang at the time.

We talked with someone close to the officer on Monday.

Flanagan could be in the hospital for weeks.

Four others were taken to the hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Mustang has not been caught.
