ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind.—The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office has ended its relationship with Special Victims Unit (SVU) Commander Kelly Todd, effective March 2.
The prosecutor’s office did not give a reason for the change in leadership.
Todd has worked for the SVU since March 2016 and became commander in June 2018.
The prosecutor’s office is actively searching for a new SVU Commander.
In the interim, the SVU will be led by current SVU investigator Amy Bennett. Bennett has been a police officer with the South Bend Police Department for over 20 years and retired in 2016 with the rank of lieutenant.
Bennett became an investigator with SVU in June 2018.
