Staff Sergeant accused of killing 16 Afghans to meet with legal team

KANSAS -- Monday morning, an Army Staff Sergeant accused of killing 16 Afghan civilians is set to meet with his legal defense team for the very first time.

Robert Bales is in a Kansas military prison in solitary confinement.

His lawyer John Henry Browne is the same attorney who defended serial killer Ted Bundy.

He could face life behind bars or the death penalty.

Details on formal charges that could come as soon as this week.
