State fair crews expected to finish disassembling stage for investigation
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Crews are expected to finish taking apart what's left of the stage that fell during the Indiana State Fair on Wednesday.
Seven people died when a powerful gust of wind brought down the stage just before Sugarland was set to perform. Now workers are removing debris in their search for answers.
“We need to get to the root cause of the collapse and use that information to do whatever is necessary to make sure nothing like this ever happens again,” said Stephanie McFarland of the Indiana State Fair Commission.
Everything will be brought to a warehouse, where the investigation will continue.
