State fair officials move outdoor concert indoors over weather concerns

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The severe weather that rolled through central Indiana on Thursday caused state fair officials to change event plans.

Fair officials made a decision to move previously scheduled outdoor "spinners" concert inside.

As the sun kept shining Friday afternoon, officials assumed their decision would be questioned.

But none of the fair-goers questioned decision.

"After last year, I don't blame them," one fair goer said. "You've got people suing and what have you. I figure it's the safe thing to do."

After last year's tragedy, fair-goers believe the people in charge of implementing the fair's new safety guidelines had done the right thing.
