State recommends LaGrow for consultant to Benton Harbor schools

State Treasurer Kevin Clinton has issued his recommendation for the Consent Agreement Consultant for Benton Harbor Area Schools.

Clinton recommended Cynthia LaGrow, the Economic Development Director for the City of Dowagiac, for the position.

The school district adopted the Consent Agreement  to make sure the financial emergency is properly addressed and resolved.

In addition to a consultant overseeing the district, the school district must submit monthly reports to the Department of Treasury.

The Benton Harbor Area Schools District will vote on LaGrow's appointment on November 18th.
