State Troopers investigate string of vehicle larcenies

MARSHALL COUNTY, Mich. – Michigan State Police Marshall Post Troopers and Deputies from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a string of vehicle break-ins that took place between Thursday December 3 and Saturday December 5.

The break-ins occurred in the Leroy Township area of Calhoun County.

According to police, it appears the suspects enter unlocked vehicles and remove items of value.

State police are also investigating the report of a stolen vehicle from the same area. The missing vehicle is a 2008 Buick Lucerne, tan in color, bearing Michigan registration # CNN-4298.

State Police Troopers want to remind everyone that the simple act of removing valuable items from your car and locking it when not in use, drastically reduces the possibility of your items or vehicle being stolen.

Anyone with information about the vehicle larcenies or stolen vehicle is asked to immediately contact their local 911 dispatch center who will relay the information to the appropriate authorities.
