Storm rocks Knox and litters Starke County

STARKE CO., Ind. -- Thunderstorms swept through Michiana on Tuesday morning.

Starke County was one of the hardest hit areas.

70 mph winds knocked over huge trees near the court house. Some fell on cars, damaging them. Branches still litter the streets and yards.

Right now, the town of Knox is still cleaning up.

The entire city of Knox was without power on Tuesday and NIPSCO crews were still working on power lines when our crews left the scene late Tuesday night.

People picking up debris in the area told us they think it could be weeks until all the damage is cleared from the city.
