Structure fire in Walkerton closes U.S. 6 near S.R. 104

WALKERTON, Ind. -- The Walkerton Volunteer Fire Department was called out to a structure fire in the 32000 block of U.S. 6 this morning around 10:07 a.m.

"U.S. 6 West of Walkerton between S.R. 104 and Towle Road restricted down to one lane due to structure fire," the Walkerton VFD said. "Use alternate route."

Authorities are reporting that at least four different departments have responded to help douse the flames and the fire is now under control. 

No injuries have been reported.
