Studebaker Museum gets ready for new murals

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Studebaker Museum is preparing for new mural installations.

Both the north and south sides of the archives building will have new murals.

The murals are so big, they needed a new zoning variance first. That variance was just approved Wednesday.

The completed murals will depict advertising from the early 20th century.

"That building with its place on the corner is one of the first structures you will see that's part of the museum campus and we feel that that will be a great beacon to help our visitors know that they have arrived at the Studebaker National Museum," said Andrew Beckman, archivist.
