Students design coloring book for South Bend Weed & Seed Program

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- On Monday, South Bend students were recognized for their creativity.

The kids designed a coloring book for the city's Weed & Seed Program.

Three schools submitted their designs, and students from all three schools came out on top.

The Weed & Seed Program encourages police and youth partnerships.

On Monday afternoon, Mayor Pete Buttigieg and officers with the South Bend Police Deaprtment congratulated the winners.

The Community Policing Committee chose the winners.

The coloring book is 24 pages, and 3,000 copies have been printed.
