NOTRE DAME – Thousands of first year students at Notre Dame lined up on Wednesday to get a football ticket. At 4 o’clock the eight ticket windows at Purcell Pavilion opened for business. Many students said any amount of time waiting in line was worth great seats at a Fighting Irish Football Game.
Patrick Valencia and Ben Kass were first in line. They showed up at 10 p.m. the night before.
"We just kept psyching each other out. We better get here at seven. We better get here at six. What if someone's already there?” said Kass.
"We want those first row tickets in the student section. It's Notre Dame football we got to be there,” said Valencia.
Many students said they took shifts waiting in line, but it was all worth it to see the Fighting Irish take on South Florida in person on September 3rd.
