Students show their appreciation to firefighters

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Students from McKinley Primary in South Bend paid their respects to firefighters on the 11th anniversary of 9/11.

They walked over to Fire Station 3 across from the school and gave the firefighters hand written cards and letters.

"It was a big opporunity for me," said Dontae Brown. "Because they're one of the goodest helpers and yeah, they help a lot."

Students told us they recently learned about the attacks in class and wanted to express their gratitude.
