Students write letters to service members

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Wednesday, Notre Dame students wrote letters to service members thanking them.

They honored Patriot's day by each writing a letter to the men and women overseas.

The health educator at the Office of Alcohol and Drug Education says the letters thank the service members for not only serving our country but for also keeping us safe each and every day.

"Being able to not only express our gratitude not only allows us to stay healthy and remember all, but to also honor those whose lives were lost and to thank those who have stepped up and given their lives to serve our country to protect us each and every day," said Bridget Hoffmannwith the Office of Alcohol and Drug Education.

The letters went to some in the school's ROTC program and to others serving overseas.
