ELKHART, Ind. -- The Salvation Army held their Stuff-the-Bus event Saturday at Walmart on Old U.S 20 with the goal of receiving donations to send across all Elkhart Schools.
Volunteers passed out flyers to shoppers as they were walking in with a list of needed supplies, customers were then able to put their purchased items for donation in a drop box place in the front of the store. ABC57 spoke with the director of the Elkhart Salvation Army to hear how the turnout was today.
Some of the Elkhart Schools that benefit from Saturday's event include Elkhart Community Schools, Jimtown, Concord, and even some schools in LaGrange.
