Summer Camp for Aspiring Firefighters

Clay Fire Territory is Accepting Applications for June 2012 Fire Camp.

It’s a Summer Camp for Aspiring Firefighters. The Clay Fire Territory is now accepting applications for its annual Fire Camp. The camp will run from 9 am – 3 pm, June 18 - 22, 2012.

Clay Fire Territory Fire Camp is an excellent opportunity that allows children to experience and understand what a Firefighter / EMT does on a regular basis. This program is targeted for children aged 10 – 13 years of age and the activities will be directed accordingly. Campers will actually participate “hands on” with equipment and have the opportunity to learn skills while performing at mock fire and rescue situations. It is the mission of our instructors to inspire the participants and to teach them teambuilding and valuable life saving skills while having fun.

To enroll, parents will need to complete a camper application and return it to any Clay Fire Territory fire station with the $45.00 camp fee. Camper applications can be picked up at any Clay Fire Territory fire station or can be downloaded at www.clayfd.com. Camp fee will cover the cost of t-shirts and refreshments. Campers will be required to bring a sack lunch throughout the week. Parents will be required to attend an orientation meeting the week prior to camp. Fire Camp is limited to 30 applicants.
