Summer's over: Indianapolis kids head back to school

INDIANAPOLIS -- For many Indiana children, summer is over and it's back to the books.

On Monday, thousands of students went back to school near Indianapolis.

School buses rolled out just after 6 a.m. in Warren Township.

The district is one of the first in Indiana to start school using a balanced calendar. That means there is a shorter summer vacation and longer breaks throughout the school year.
