Milder but wetter conditions this weekend
The snow has finally let up with lake effect having wrapped up last night. Skies start mainly clear this morning, and we'll be seeing plenty of sunshine throughout the day to end our weekend. With the sunshine and freshly fallen snow in many areas, it'll be a great day to get outside for any winter activities/sports, just make sure to bundle up. Temperatures once again are hovering around zero this morning, highs top out in the upper teens this afternoon with wind chills staying in the single digits through the daylight hours. We'll wake up to slightly warmer temperatures tomorrow, a prelude to what we'll be seeing the rest of the day as highs near-normal return to start our work week. We won't be able to enjoy the warmer weather much, snow showers start up Monday morning, turning to freezing rain by the afternoon with temperatures hovering around the freezing mark. The Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes are expected to see the greatest impacts. Precipitation switches over to all rain for Tuesday. The rest of the week will be warmer-than-average and damp with rain chances persisting.
Today: Mostly sunny. High 19.
Tonight: Partly cloudy. Low 14.
Monday: AM snow / PM freezing rain. High 32.
Tuesday: Rain. High 37.
