Superstorm Sandy: NYC rat population becoming concern

NEW YORK -- Just days after Superstorm Sandy, New Yorkers now have another treat looming.

It looks like the city's massive rat population may be on the move, adding another potential concern to residents' long list of post-storm challenges.

Experts believe rats are vying for higher ground. After days of flooding, they’re running into stores, apartments, warehouses and schools.

Rats can carry a number of dangerous diseases.
