Suspect arrested after police find man stabbed in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – A suspect has been arrested after a man was found stabbed in Elkhart County on Monday, the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office reported.

At 12:45 p.m., deputies responded to C.R. 26, east of C.R. 22, for a report that a man had been stabbed and his vehicle taken from the scene.

The vehicle was found west of Middlebury after it had been involved in a crash, according to reports.

Law enforcement established a perimeter and a suspect was quickly located and taken into custody.

The 73-year-old man found stabbed was taken from the scene for medical treatment.

Due to the seriousness of the situation, the Elkhart County Homicide Unit has been contacted to help with the investigation.
