Hawkins is accused of murdering Anthony Null, whose body was found floating in the St. Joseph River near Beardsley Avenue with a gunshot wound to his face on July 17.
The probable cause affidavit in this case state a witness overheard Hawkins and Null arguing over synthetic marijuana and coffee before a single gunshot was heard and the witness saw Null slouched over and bleeding.
