Suspect flees armed robbery at Advance America in Niles

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – Berrien County Police Department were called out to an armed robbery at the Advance America in Niles at 5:58 p.m. today.
As deputies arrived at the scene, the suspect fled.
According to the police, witnesses to the scene describe the suspect as a black male, approximately 5’9” with a slim build.
The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, and a face covering.
The suspect did display a handgun and demanded money, and it is unknown how much was taken.
The suspect fled the scene in a black SUV, westbound on Bell Road.
The robbery is still under investigation by the Berrien County Detective Bureau at this time.
