Berrien County Jail BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- The suspect in the Feb. 4, 2024, murder of 80-year-old Jerry Wagner pleaded no contest to the 2nd Degree Charge on Monday.
The suspect, 75-year-old Albert William Thomas of Benton Harbor, was identified as the suspect in 2024 and was arrested shortly after the incident, according to the Benton Township Police Department.
The homicide occurred at 954 E. Empire Ave. in Benton Harbor.
Thomas is set to be sentenced on Aug. 31 at the Berrien County Courthouse.
