UPDATE: Benton Township homicide victim identified, suspect in custody

BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- The victim of a homicide earlier this month has been identified as Jerry Wagner, an 80-year-old Saint Joseph resident.
Police say a person of interest has been identified and is currently lodged at the Berrien County Jail on unrelated charges, but investigators are continuing to look into any and all tips received.
"As always, we are asking the public for any and all information they may have in regard to this incident," said deputy Tyler Tiefenbach. "Anyone with information is asked to contact the Benton Charter Township Police Department at 269-926-3087 or through their Facebook page."
Wagner's body was found by police on Feb. 4.
