Suspect points gun at hotel clerk, demands cash

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -

Police in Elkhart need your help to find an armed robbery suspect.

That robbery happened early Wednesday morning at the comfort suites on County Road 24.

At 12:38 Wednesday morning, a man sporting a black Chicago Bulls jacket and a blue backpack walked into the Comfort Suites in Elkhart.

The hotel clerk was out on the floor.

That’s when he pulled out a gun, pointed it to her head and walked her to cash register.

The suspect’s next move may surprise you.

Before he left he wanted something to drink.

He forced the clerk to give him several bottles of sprite and even a pack of gum.

Then he dashed out of the hotel.

The suspect was wearing a mask.

But police believe he is black, in his late teens to early thirties.
