Suspicious person at Concord High School arrested on multiple charges

ELKHART, Ind. -- A man was arrested after allegedly driving a stolen vehicle onto the campus of Concord High School Tuesday morning.

Concord Community Schools Police were alerted around 7:15 a.m. about a suspicious person.

An officer made contact with the 23-year-old man and discovered he had arrived to campus in a vehicle he stole from a residence he had burglarized, according to police.

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department and Goshen Police worked with the Concord Schools Police on this case.

The subject is facing preliminary charges of burglary, auto theft, criminal mischief and resisting law enforcement.
