SWAT arrests six people at home in Milford Junction

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- Two people with active warrants and four others were arrested following a SWAT operation on Tuesday, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say they received a tip on Tuesday about the location of Ricky Johnson, who had six active warrants.

Sheriff Kyle Dukes activated the Kosciusko County SWAT team to make entry to the home in Milford Junction.

All the occupants of the first floor were handcuffed and placed into police cars.

Deputies determined two people were in an attic above the second floor and deployed K-9 Neville into the attic when the occupants refused to come down, reports said.

Both people in the attic, Ricky Johnson and Crissy Howard, were taken into custody and transported to the hospital for treatment of dog bite wounds.

“I’m very proud of the efficiency and professionalism of our SWAT team, a brave group of men that put their lives on the line every time they perform their duties. We could not have completed our mission without the cooperation among the law enforcement agencies involved," Sheriff Dukes said.

The following people were taken into custody:

• Ricky Johnson, 38, Milford- Resisting law enforcement, and active warrants for battery, theft and failure to appear
• Brandy Howard, 37, Lackey, Kentucky- resisting law enforcement and an active warrant for battery by bodily waste
• Wade Manges, 53, Milford- assisting a criminal
• Austin Holdeman-Manges, 18, Milford- assisting a criminal
• Stephanie White, 36, Milford- assisting a criminal
• Hannah Street, 25, Milford- assisting a criminal
