SWET detectives serve search warrants in St. Joseph and Benton Harbor
BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich.—Southwest Enforcement Team – West Office served search warrants in St. Joseph on September 11 and Benton Harbor on September 16.
On September 11, detectives along with members of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department arrested 36-year-old Amanda Borrelli in St. Joseph during the execution of a search warrant, reports said.
While executing the search warrant, detectives found a half ounce of crystal methamphetamine, heroin, and about 30 morphine pills and other drug-related items, police said.
Borrelli was taken to the Berrien County Jail on suspicion of:
- Possession with intent to deliver crystal meth 2nd
- Possession with intent to deliver heroin 2nd
- Maintaining a drug house 2nd
Detectives are still searching for 30-year-old Matthew Jordan in connection with the St. Joseph investigation. Jordan is currently a fugitive parole absconder and wanted by the MDOC for parole violations, police said.
On September 16, detectives and members of the Berrien Tactical Response Unit, FBI, DEA and other law enforcement agencies arrested three suspects inside of a home while executing a search warrant in Benton Harbor.
William Beecham, 27, Tipton Walker, 23, and Jamon Hill, 26, were all arrested and taken to the Berrien County Jail on suspicion of multiple drug, probation violation and firearm-related charges.
During the search in Benton Harbor, officers found about two ounces of heroin, a Glock pistol with an extended magazine, ammunition and about three pounds of marijuana, reports said.
