Tailgating at home opener drastically different than Ireland opener

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Before Saturday's home opener at Notre Dame, we caught up with a few fans who were in Ireland last weekend.

They told us this week's tailgate was much different.

Quite a few more people were tailgating today compared to last week in Ireland.

But, overall these folks still enjoyed the experience in Dublin.

"Dublin was by far only second to the South Bend campus, the best Notre Dame atmosphere we've seen," said Mitch Kehler, ND Alum.

"The city felt like you were walking around campus. There were 35,000 Notre Dame fans there," said Gina Tesi, ND Alum.

The flight back from Ireland was nearly seven hours, but fans say it was definitely worth it!
