SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Stillhouse Tattoo and Piercing is hosting an event with proceeds benefiting survivors of rape, sexual assault and abuse.
The tattoo and piercing shop is offering different tattoo designs this Sunday from noon to 8:00 p.m.
Proceeds raised during the event will go to the S-O-S Family Justice Center of St. Joseph County.
The tattoos range from $100-$200 on a first-come, first-served basis.
The tattooist behind the campaign, Amber Olsen, is hoping to help survivors of sexual assault become more comfortable asking for help.
“This is something that gets swept under the rug a lot, like people who are afraid to talk about it and we don’t know who is going to walk through that door, who might get the help they finally need.” said Olsen.
