Teenage driver critically injured in Tuesday night crash

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. – A 19-year-old was critically injured in a single vehicle accident Tuesday night on C.R. 350 N, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office reported.

At 10:53 p.m., deputies responded to the scene of a crash on C.R. 350 N, east of C.R. 925 E, in Tippecanoe Township.

Emergency personnel located the crash via Snapchat information.

According to reports, 19-year-old Easton Adkins of Columbia City was traveling east on C.R. 350 N when the vehicle left the road and hit a tree near the public access entrance in the Pisgah Marsh Nongame Area.

Adkins had been trying to locate an acquaintance near Durham Lake at around 10:30 p.m.

People in contact with Adkins told deputies they lost telephone contact with Adkins and began to search the area.

Adkins was airlifted from the scene in critical condition.
