Teenager injured in South Bend shooting

A teenager was shot in the arm in South Bend's West Side Sunday evening.  

Shot spotters picked up three shots on Diamond Avenue in South Bend around 8 p.m.

Officials say that the young victim was able to ask for help from a woman sitting in her car nearby.  

The teenager is recovering and is in stable condition. 

Police say they have the name of the person of interest, however they have not taken anyone into custody.  

Due to the ongoing investigation, they are not releasing more details at this time.
