Teenager killed in rollover accident

LINCOLN TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- An 18-year-old was killed when her vehicle rolled over in the 2200 block of Linco Road in Lincoln Township.

Lincoln Charter Township Police say a 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada was eastbound on Linco Road when the driver, Angel Nitz Leitch, lost control of the car and left the roadway.

When she tried to steer the vehicle back onto the road, it overturned and came to rest on its roof.

Nitz-Leitch was wearing her seatbelt. Police say it doesn't appear that alcohol or excessive speed were factors.

Police say Nitz-Leitch may have fallen asleep while on her way home from a friend's house.

Because it was believed the victim as a 2013 graduate of Lake Shore High School, the school's crisis response team was notified.
