Teens arrested, charged with counterfeiting money

Several people were arrested after counterfeit money was found in a vehicle during a traffic stop, according to Plymouth Police.

At 1:20 a.m. April 3, a Plymouth Police officer stopped a vehicle on US30 near Oak Drive.

Police said inside the vehicle they found counterfeit $100 bills and uncut copied bills and a printer in the vehicle.

The driver, 18-year-old Raynesha Causey, was arrested and charged with operating with controlled substance and counterfeiting.

The following passengers were also charged with counterfeiting:

  • Tristan Lacy, 18, Fort Wayne
  • Drake Wells, 18, Fort Wayne
  • Terrell Smith, 18, Fort Wayne

A juvenile occupant of the car was placed in a detention center.

After their arrests, Jalaysha Mccaleb,19, went to the police department and provided false information and attempted to assist Smith in using a false identity, according to Plymouth Police.

Smith was additionally charged with false informing.

Mccaleb was arrested and charged with assisting a criminal and false informing.
