Ten people under age 20 arrested at house party involving possible drug overdoses

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind.—Ten people between the ages of 18 and 20 were arrested following a house party in Wolcottville that resulted in multiple minors being treated for possible drug overdoses, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office.

On August 18 around 5:57 a.m., officers with the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office were sent to the 5700 block of E. C.R. 300 S. in Wolcottville for a possible drug overdose.

Officers arrived and found a large crowd of people and open containers of alcohol throughout the property.

A 19-year-old man told officers he thought he’d been drugged, according to the sheriff’s office.

Multiple juveniles under the age of 18 were detained and taken to the sheriff’s office on suspicion of being in possession of alcohol.

Ten people between the ages of 18 and 20 were booked into the LaGrange County Jail on alcohol related charges.

Two minors were taken to a local hospital for treatment of possible drug overdoses.

The incident remains under investigation.
