Te'o talks about his busy and emotional month

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- It has been a wild month for Irish linebacker Manti Te'o.

Between two personal losses and a growing list of awards, Te'o has had quite the roller-coaster ride.

Te'o held a press conference at Notre Dame to talk about his busy and emotional month.

"All that does for me is that I am headed in the right direction," Teo said. "I am doing what I need to do."

Te'o has picked up several awards in the last weeks. He even appeared on a recent cover of Sports Illustrated. And there has even been talk of him being up for the Heisman Trophy.

"To be honest with you, if I keep winning and I don't win the Heisman, I will be so happy," Te'o said. "I mean, I just want to win."

Manti went on to talk about how he has dealt with the loss of his grandmother and girlfriend just hours before Notre Dame played Michigan State.

Te'o was able to go home to Hawaii over the bye week break.
