Terry Sturgis to be sentenced for murder, abuse charges

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Terry Sturgis will find out how many years he’ll spend behind bars for the brutal beating death of his own son.

Sturgis was found guilty on all 14 counts on May 24. Those charges include beating his 10-year-old son Tramelle to death and abusing his 14 and 9-year-old sons, but Judge Miller has said there's a chance that some of the charges overlap.

If that's the case, there could be some changes made before he's sentenced at 1:30 Thursday afternoon. It will be the first time he finds out how many years in jail those charges will cost him.

Sturgis’ son Tramelle had more than 60 injures on him when he was found dead on the early morning of November 4, 2011.

The Terry Sturgis trial wrapped up after five days of testimony.
