BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich--- Prosecutors called several witnesses to the stand on Wednesday during the trial of Antwan Mims. Mims is charged with the murders of Cortez Miller and Michael Johnson.
Among the witnesses on Wednesday were Johnson's girlfriend and an informant for the Michigan state police.
The informant testified that he was directly behind Mims when Mims fatally shot Johnson. The informant then ran to the back of the house to hide when he says he heard a second round of shots being fired.
Two witnesses who took to the stand on Wednesday say they saw a gun laying next to Miller's body after he was shot. One of those witnesses went on to claim that she heard two different guns being fired that night.
Prosecutors also played the 911 recordings from the night of the shooting. They then called one of those callers to the stand who told jurors that she saw "Johnson's body drop."
Prosecutors still have the floor and are expected to call several more witnesses when the trial resumes on Thursday morning.
