SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- It was 574 day at Purcell Pavilion, as the Irish hosted Virginia Tech, and they looked good early, leading by as many as 14 points in the first half.
Guard Markus Burton led all scorers with 23 points but left the game for an injury in the second half after he was elbowed in the forehead.
Thankfully Burton would be okay and returned to the game later on.
As it's been the case this season, Notre Dame blew a late lead again, allowing the Hokies to rally and take the lead on a dunk by Tobi Lawal.
The Irish fall, with a final score of 65-63.
