MICHIGAN-- The state of Michigan for the presidential and senate race remains up for grabs for the majority vote after Donald Trump has already been declared as the 47th President of the United States.

With 76 percent of the vote in, Trump won the state of Wisconsin giving him the 276 electoral votes he needed to secure the race just the results for the majority vote in Michigan for the presidential and Michigan race has not been finalized.

Michigan is a key swing state but both senate candidates continue to fight for every vote to secure the senate seat that will represent the battleground state.

There has been plenty of anticipation surrounding the candidates vying for this important seat with 96% of the vote being in and Mike Rogers with a 48.6 percent lead over his opponent democrat Elissa Slotkin.

The Democratic candidate, Elissa Slotkin expressed how she felt going into this election.

"We always knew that this was going to be a tight race and that is exactly what we are seeing unfold in front of us. There are a lot of votes left to count. This happens in every single election. I've had three tough elections and we're here till the wee hours of the night. So, my message to you all is to get some rest hunker down. We've got a long way to go. "Said Slotkin.

The presidential race has been announced but the senate race keeps voters on the edge of their seats as we wait to see who the one seat will have to represent the battleground state of Michigan.
