Update: Police identify woman who may have drowned in St. Joseph River

(ABC57) Police have identified the woman they believe drowned in the St. Joseph River near Berrien Springs Sunday night.
Investigators say 42-year-old Shirani Simpson was in the area with her children, and then went into the river when her little boy appeared to be having some trouble.
The 8-year-old boy was rescued and is doing fine, but his mother has not been found. ABC 57 will keep you updated on the search for Simpson.
UPDATE: On May 15, police recovered a body in the river that they believe is that of 42-year-old Shirani Simpson. The body has been sent to Kalamazoo for official identification.
